Mission Statement

Faith in Action
coordinates volunteers
to help people
who face challenges
related to health or
aging.

Volunteers are trained to respectfully and compassionately help older adults and children with special needs and their families.  Volunteers are the heart of Faith in Action. By sharing a few minutes a month or an hour or two each week, you assure the well-being of your neighbors.

Volunteers opportunities (updated 11/25/08):

Do you speak Spanish?  Please call Jill to find out more about opportunities to work with the Latino community.

Do you like to exercise?  Call Deana to find out how you can be a volunteer coach.  You can help others lead a healthy life and get your daily exercise in at the same time!

Do we have your email address on file?  If that's a good way to contact you, please send your email so we can update our files!

Volunteer applications, screenings, and training/orientations must take place before matching with a person in need.  Please call today to find out how you can help!

Contact the office to learn more about volunteering in program development and management or to volunteer with specific programs, such as Family Friends or Strong for Life.
